 As the first small-medium scale dine-in and take out Chinese restaurant in Brawley, Tai San brought a lot of excitement to the community fulfilling the townspeople's expectations.  In 1991, our amazing cook, (el cocinero), "Luis" took it upon himself with the help of others, to cook up the best Chinese food para la gente, for the people of Brawley.  Although there have been opportunities to expand and move into a larger establishment, the family decided that what we wanted was to keep that sense of "hominess" that our little restaurant brings to the east side of town.  Attracting customers from as far as Mexicali, Los Angeles, to Niland, Bombay Beach, Imperial and even Calexico friends, Tai San stands strong today, still keeping true to the promise of "delivering the best to best."  Interesting enough, we do not deliver :) --in which case we would rather see you when you come in for lunch, dinner or take out !
